Ondo State Launches “Ondo 2055”: A 30-Year Roadmap to Sustainable Growth
The Ondo State Government has officially unveiled “Ondo 2055,” a strategic development blueprint guiding the state’s socio-economic transformation over the next three decades. Developed through extensive consultations with market women, artisans, academia, faith-based groups and diaspora indigenes, the plan aligns with national and global frameworks such as the SDGs. It rests on four pillars: Governance & Law, Prosperous Economy, Human Capital and Environment & Infrastructure. A robust monitoring and evaluation framework will track progress, while public-private collaboration will drive investment, boost IGR and reduce poverty. The Commissioner for Economic Planning, Mr. Olaolu Akindolire, described Ondo 2055 as a shared roadmap for long-term prosperity and inclusive development.
