Proverbs 3:9–10 in Today’s Nigeria: Faith, Giving and Financial Wisdom

Proverbs 3:9–10 in Today’s Nigeria: Faith, Giving and Financial Wisdom

Proverbs 3:9–10 calls believers to honour God with their resources and firstfruits. In a time of high food prices, rent, fuel costs and school fees, this raises an important question: how can people give faithfully while facing genuine financial pressure? Honouring God is not only about giving money. It can also mean integrity, generosity, contentment and responsible stewardship. Praying for increase should go with discipline, budgeting, saving, learning useful skills and making wise financial decisions. Biblical abundance is bigger than displaying wealth. It can mean having enough for your needs, supporting family, helping others, investing wisely and creating meaningful impact. Faith does not cancel wisdom.
