Unknown Gunmen Kill Motor Park Worker in Auchi, Edo State

The Edo State Police Command confirmed that a motor park worker known only as Jogodo was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Auchi on Monday morning. Witnesses say the attackers arrived in a black Lexus RX C350, opened fire, and fled the scene. This killing occurred less than 72 hours after another man, called Happy, was ambushed and shot dead near Ugbihoko in Benin City. A witness described how the attackers lay in wait and struck as he returned home from work. Police spokesperson Eno Ikoedem stated that three suspects have been arrested and will be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department. The motor park has been temporarily sealed off as investigations continue. Preliminary inquiries suggest the violence may be linked to a dispute over control of the park. Authorities say the closure aims to prevent further bloodshed.
