Report Reveals $800 Million in Damage from Iranian Strikes on US Bases
A new analysis by the Center for Strategic & International Studies and the BBC finds that Iranian retaliatory strikes on US military bases in the Middle East caused roughly $800 million in damage during the first two weeks of conflict. Key targets included radar sites, air-defence and satellite-communication systems in Jordan, the UAE, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. A single THAAD radar system in Jordan alone accounted for nearly $485 million of the losses. Satellite imagery confirms multiple hits at Ali Al-Salim, Al-Udeid and Prince Sultan air bases. While $800 million is higher than earlier estimates, the final cost and full impact on US assets remain uncertain.
