Ryan Alebiosu Subbed Off Due to Illness, Not New Injury

Super Eagles defender Ryan Alebiosu was taken off at half-time during Blackburn Rovers’ 3-1 win over Millwall after feeling unwell. Blackburn coach Tony Mowbray said Alebiosu had missed part of training during the week and was limited to light recovery work. The club doctor had suspected tonsillitis. Mowbray said the defender’s recent workload may have worsened the illness, but stressed that it does not appear to be a muscle problem likely to keep him out for long.
