Outrage as RRS Officers Allegedly Shoot Motorcyclist in Asaba
Asaba, Delta State – A young motorcyclist, identified as Aboy Odili, was shot by Rapid Response Squad officers attached to the Delta State Police Command on Tuesday, May 5. A video circulating online shows him bleeding from an apparent arm wound as bystanders rush to help. The footage captures Odili, wearing a red jersey marked “RUDMAN 91,” sitting on a roadside curb beside his damaged bike. He is later helped into a tricycle for medical treatment. The clip stops before the actual moment of the shooting. Social media users are condemning the incident and comparing it to other alleged cases of police brutality in Delta State. Many Nigerians are calling for a full investigation and an official update, but the police command has yet to respond.
