APC Tells Tinubu Appointees: Support 2027 Mobilisation or Quit

APC Tells Tinubu Appointees: Support 2027 Mobilisation or Quit

The APC has told political appointees in President Bola Tinubu’s administration that they must support the party’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general election or leave their positions. APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda gave the warning in Abuja while receiving the Progressive Local Government Chairmen’s Forum. He said appointees cannot describe themselves as technocrats detached from partisan politics while holding political offices. Yilwatda urged council chairmen to identify appointees who may be performing administratively but have no political influence in their wards. He said the party needs grassroots mobilisation to secure votes in 2027. The forum said it has support from over 685 local government chairmen and 31 governors, and plans to organise an endorsement rally for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
