NIS Extends UK Passport Intervention Exercise to October 3

The Nigeria Immigration Service has extended its Special Passport Intervention Exercise in the United Kingdom from September 19 to October 3, 2026, following a high turnout of applicants. The exercise is holding in London and Manchester. The NIS said 1,477 Nigerians were processed within its first four days, with more than half of the passports already produced and dispatched. Applicants must book an appointment through the Nigerian High Commission in the UK and come with their application form, payment receipt, appointment slip, current passport where applicable, and a self-addressed return envelope. The process is cashless, and no extra charges are required beyond the official passport fees.
