Woman Recounts How Her Father Allegedly Abandoned His Eight Children
A woman has shared a painful account of growing up with her seven siblings after their father allegedly failed to provide for them while raising children with his second wife. She said their mother struggled to support the family and, at different points, the children were sent to live and work as domestic helps in other homes. She alleged that she was moved between Umuahia, Owerri and Port Harcourt without her family knowing where she was. According to her, her mother eventually traced her after years of searching but could not immediately take her home because of poverty. She said the experience left her feeling unloved and deeply hurt, although she has chosen to let go of the anger.
