Abeokuta Woman Alleges Man Assaulted Her Over Her Outfit

A woman in Abeokuta, Ogun State, has alleged that a man harassed, threatened and assaulted her while she was returning from the market on a commercial motorcycle. She said the man repeatedly questioned her outfit and told her to cover up after his motorcycle attempted to overtake hers. According to her, he later stopped them, confronted her and allegedly became violent. The woman said she is recovering from bone surgery and feared being injured further. She also alleged that the man claimed he was not afraid of being reported to the police because of his mother's influence.
