African Energy Futures Opens Remote Data Science Roles Across Africa

African Energy Futures is recruiting an AI and Data Platforms Lead and a Junior Data Scientist for 12-month remote contracts open to candidates across Africa. The senior role requires at least six years of experience in data platforms, software development or applied AI, with strong Python and SQL skills. The junior role is aimed at early-career analysts with one to three years of relevant experience and working knowledge of Python or R, spreadsheets and data cleaning. Both roles will support energy and development data systems, including data collection, analysis, visualisation and research tools. Applicants must have the legal right to work in their country of residence. Applications close on 4 October 2026.
