Datti Baba-Ahmed: Atiku Missed 2027 Chance by Not Backing Obi in 2023

Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed says former VP Atiku Abubakar could have secured the presidency in 2027 if he had supported Peter Obi’s 2023 bid instead of running against him. Speaking on Channels Television’s Inside Sources, Baba-Ahmed argued that backing younger leaders builds long-term goodwill. He cited President Tinubu’s patient, strategic alliances as the model Atiku should have followed. He warned that overconfidence and personal ambition often blind politicians to better tactics. He also urged opposition groups to look beyond pride and plan for the next election with the same care.
