Plateau Farmer Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Herder Over Damaged Crops

A farmer, Caleb Bulus, has been arrested after he allegedly assaulted a herder, Abubakar Abdullahi, during a dispute over crops said to have been destroyed in Kwanga village, Jos North LGA of Plateau State. Troops from Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12 reportedly responded to the incident at about 4:45 p.m. on September 25, 2026. Abdullahi was taken to Jos University Teaching Hospital for treatment after sustaining injuries. Bulus was handed over to the authorities in Jos for investigation. Security personnel are monitoring the area to prevent the dispute from escalating into communal tension.
