Fashola Urges South-West APC Leaders to Mobilise Support for Tinubu Ahead of 2027
Babatunde Fashola has urged APC leaders in the South-West to strengthen grassroots mobilisation and engage stakeholders across party lines ahead of the 2027 general elections. He spoke at a political meeting in Ikeja, attended by Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat and other party leaders. Fashola called for stakeholder forums at state, local government and ward levels. He said the forums should reach beyond APC members and include people who could influence election outcomes, such as artisans and union members. He said he would visit each state after the forums are established to hear local concerns and address issues requiring national attention. The meeting went into a closed-door session, with a communiqué expected afterward.
