German Tourist Fatally Bitten by Cobra at Egyptian Snake-Charmer Show

A 57-year-old German man died after a cobra from a snake-charmer routine slithered into his trousers and bit his leg. He was on holiday in Hurghada on the Red Sea with two relatives when the snake-charmer invited him to join the act. The victim showed signs of poisoning and went into shock. Hotel staff resuscitated him before he was rushed to a local hospital. Bavarian police say they are investigating his death and awaiting toxicology results. No arrests have been made so far.
