Oyo Government, Security Agencies Intensify Search for Abducted Corps Members in Imo
The Oyo State Government says it is working with security agencies, the Imo State Government and NYSC officials to secure the release of corps members abducted in Imo State. The victims were among passengers in two buses travelling from Ibadan to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, and Bende, Abia State, when suspected armed men attacked them. Police said both buses have been recovered and 10 victims were rescued at the scene. The Imo Police Command said the number of people still being held is being verified. It added that a coordinated search-and-rescue operation is ongoing, with intelligence tracking deployed to locate the suspects and rescue all remaining victims.
