Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda Plan Joint Visa for AFCON 2027 Fans
Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda are considering a joint visa arrangement to ease travel for supporters attending the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations across the three host countries. East African Community officials say the proposal could allow fans to attend matches in different host cities with fewer border delays. The final requirements and enforcement procedures are yet to be agreed. The initiative could also support tourism, hotels, transport operators and other businesses during the tournament. Construction at Tanzania’s 32,500-capacity Arusha Pamoja AFCON Stadium is reportedly 95 per cent complete. AFCON 2027 will run from June 19 to July 17, with Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda becoming the first three countries to co-host the competition.
