Ogun Police Back Move to Regulate Traditional and Alternative Medicine
The Ogun State Police Command has pledged to work with the Ogun State Alternate Medicine Board to regulate Traditional, Complementary and Alternative Medicine practitioners across the state. Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni gave the assurance during a visit by the board’s management at the police headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta. He said standardisation is necessary to protect lives and improve service delivery. Ojajuni called for indigenous healing practices to be developed scientifically and for laws guiding the sector to be strengthened. The board said it expects sustained collaboration with the police in enforcing standards and advancing its mandate.
