UNIOSUN Wins $60,000 Grant for Mosquito Surveillance Research in Nigeria
Osun State University has secured a $60,000 research grant from the US Naval Medical Research Unit 3 to support mosquito surveillance in selected states across Nigeria. The project, led by Dr. Dapo Adeogun of the Department of Animal and Environmental Biology alongside other vector experts, will gather scientific data to support efforts against mosquito-borne diseases. The university says the grant will strengthen its public-health research capacity and contribute evidence for improved disease-control strategies nationwide.
