Alan Shearer Backs Fabian Hurzeler as Possible Michael Carrick Replacement at Manchester United

Alan Shearer believes Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler could be a suitable replacement if Manchester United decide to part ways with Michael Carrick. He also named Eddie Howe and Antonio Conte as possible alternatives. Shearer said Carrick must quickly improve results to ease the pressure at Old Trafford. Manchester United are reported to have taken six points from their opening six league matches and sit 13th in the table. The report also links the club's poor form to tension within the squad, including criticism of the sporting structure and uncertainty over Bruno Fernandes' contract situation. Manchester United have not confirmed that Carrick's job is under review.
