NCAPF Petitions IGP, Alleges Encroachment on Federal Land in Lagos

The National Coalition for Assets Protection Forum has accused the Lagos State Government of encroaching on, converting or interfering with federal landed properties in the state. The group said it has petitioned the Inspector-General of Police and called on President Bola Tinubu, the National Assembly and relevant federal agencies to investigate disputed land allocations and audit federal land records in Lagos. NCAPF urged the state government to disclose the legal basis for any reclassification, demolition or transfer of federal properties. It also asked police and enforcement officers to avoid taking sides in disputed ownership and eviction matters. The allegations have not been independently verified, and the Lagos State Government's response was not included.
