Military: Bello Turji Can’t Evade Capture as Operations Tighten

The Nigerian military says notorious bandit leader Bello Turji can no longer dodge justice. Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja, said intelligence-led raids are closing in on Turji and his network. Security forces are intensifying surveillance and targeted offensives across affected areas. Onoja also addressed the closed-door court martial of alleged coup plotters. He urged patience, stressing that national security concerns limit what details can be publicly shared for now. He promised more information at the appropriate time. On international support, the military praised the United States for training, intelligence, and advisory assistance. It clarified that American forces have no combat role on Nigerian soil but have played a valuable support role.
