Airstrikes Neutralize Over 200 Terrorists, Disrupt Bandits in Niger and Kaduna
Joint Task Force North West’s air component struck on June 29 after credible intelligence detected over 200 suspected terrorists on motorcycles in the Dogon Dawa axis of Shiroro LGA, Niger State. A precision airstrike killed and wounded many extremists, forcing survivors to flee toward Kurugin Maidawa. In a separate mission over Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State, aircraft intercepted motorcycles carrying suspected bandits bound for Kamuku Forest. Their movement was halted, and follow-up reconnaissance found no further hostile activity. These coordinated air and ground offensives have degraded terrorist and bandit networks and restored pressure across the North West.
