NPFL Introduces Friday Night and Early Weekend Kick-Offs

The Nigeria Premier Football League will introduce Friday night matches and earlier Saturday and Sunday kick-offs to make matchdays more flexible for supporters, broadcasters and commercial partners. The revised schedule begins with Shooting Stars hosting Ranchers Bees at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Friday, October 16. Kick-off is scheduled for 6pm. The match will be Shooting Stars’ second Friday fixture of the season after their opening-day win over Inter Lagos. The league expects the new timing options to improve attendance and fan interest in NPFL matches.
