Former Cross River PDP Chairman Ikem Defects to APC, Pledges to Promote Otu’s Projects

Former Cross River PDP chairman Venatius Ikem has defected to the APC and pledged to publicise Governor Bassey Otu’s development projects across the state. Speaking during his formal reception in Obudu, Ikem said the government’s work on Obudu Ranch Resort, the Bebi airstrip, the Obudu airport and the Obudu-Abakaliki road deserved more public attention. He urged residents not to allow party differences damage family and community relationships. Ikem said his return to the APC would strengthen unity in Obudu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
