Questions About Eden, Noah’s Ark and the Animals
Genesis says Adam named the animals, but it does not record the names he gave them or explain the full boundaries of Eden. I keep wondering which animals stayed, which left, and how the garden worked as a home for so many creatures. The flood story raises more questions for me. How did animals from different parts of the world reach Noah’s Ark, and how did they later spread across continents? The differences between similar animals in Africa and the Americas make the journey seem even more puzzling. The olive leaf is another point I find hard to picture. After a long flood covering the land, a dove returns with a fresh leaf. For me, that raises questions about how vegetation survived and recovered so quickly. These stories invite debate about faith, symbolism and how literally they should be read.
