New Jersey Man Kills Wife and Daughter Before Taking His Own Life, Police Say
Authorities in Montgomery Township, New Jersey, say a 61-year-old insurance executive fatally shot his wife and adult daughter before taking his own life inside their home. Police carried out a welfare check after concerns were raised on October 1. Officers entered the house the following evening and found the three family members with gunshot wounds. The wife and daughter were found in separate bedrooms, while the man was found elsewhere in the home. The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office said the deaths of the two women were being treated as homicides and the man’s death as a suicide. Investigators said the incident appeared isolated and that there was no threat to the public.
