He was also said to be unhappy with comments made by Jesus before the subsequent game against Denmark. Ronaldo reportedly left the team camp after accusing the coach of being untruthful. Although he is said to remain willing to play for Portugal, the Portuguese FA president has backed Jesus, who recently signed a four-year contract. Jesus has also maintained that he has nothing to apologise for, leaving a reconciliation uncertain.
