Davido Says He Witnessed Tinubu Order Reversal of EFCC Freeze on Osun Accounts
Davido says he witnessed a call in which President Bola Tinubu informed Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke that the EFCC would reverse the freeze placed on the state government's bank accounts. The accounts were frozen on August 5, 2026, shortly before the Osun governorship election. Tinubu reportedly said the timing could create the impression of federal interference in the election and described it as embarrassing. Presidential aide Bayo Onanuga also confirmed that the president spoke directly with Adeleke about the reversal. Davido, who is Adeleke's nephew, said he was present during the call.
