FAAN Lifts Bolt Airport Ban After Backlash Over ₦30,000 Taxi Fare

FAAN Lifts Bolt Airport Ban After Backlash Over ₦30,000 Taxi Fare

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has lifted its restriction on Bolt and other e-hailing services at FAAN-managed airports after public criticism over airport transport fares. The backlash followed a viral video showing a ₦30,000 quote for a trip said to normally cost about ₦8,000. FAAN said its ACHRAM service is not an e-hailing platform and is not intended to monopolise airport car-hire operations. FAAN said it has reached an operational agreement with Bolt, allowing the platform to resume services at its airports with immediate effect.
