Three Suspects Arrested Over Alleged Robbery of Osun Monarch, N50m Valuables

Lagos police have arrested three suspects over alleged armed robberies along the Ife Expressway in Osun State, including an operation in which valuables estimated at ₦50 million were reportedly taken from a monarch. The police said the suspects were linked to robberies on August 23 and September 30, 2026, during which about five vehicles were allegedly snatched. A Toyota van reportedly taken during the operations has been recovered. One suspect said the gang stopped the monarch’s vehicle after allegedly snatching a motorcycle and took a bag from the vehicle. Police said investigations are continuing to recover other vehicles, weapons and stolen property, and to arrest more alleged members of the gang.
