Salah Sets Süper Lig Record Ahead of Osimhen’s Early Galatasaray Mark

Mohamed Salah recorded 10 goal contributions in his first seven Süper Lig matches after helping Trabzonspor beat Samsunspor 3-0 away from home. The Egyptian captain has scored seven goals and provided three assists, becoming the first player since the 2014/15 season to reach the milestone within his opening seven Turkish top-flight games. He created Trabzonspor’s third goal with a pass for Diego Francolino in the 40th minute. Victor Osimhen also made a strong start at Galatasaray, posting six goals and four assists in his first eight league appearances. Salah reached the same 10-contribution mark one match sooner. Trabzonspor next face Kuopion Palloseura in the UEFA Conference League before returning to league action against Beşiktaş.
