One Dead, 18 Injured as Truck Crashes into Bus on Sagamu–Benin Expressway
A fatal collision occurred on the Sagamu–Benin Expressway at the Osoosa/Bigi Junction in Ogun State when a speeding Mercedes-Benz truck lost control and rammed into a Toyota Hiace bus. TRACE confirmed one person was killed and 18 others injured. Rescue teams from TRACE, Amotekun, the police and the Nigerian Army evacuated the victims. The injured were taken to Idera Hospital in Odogbolu, while the body was deposited at Babcock University Teaching Hospital morgue. Both vehicles have been towed to the Papa Oscar yard at Obalende Police Division as investigations continue into the cause of the crash.
