Three Arraigned in Kano for Alleged Prostitution at Bandirawo Estate
The Kano State Hisbah Board has arraigned three individuals for allegedly running prostitution operations at the Sheikh Muhammad Nasiru Kabara (Bandirawo) Housing Estate along Daura Road. Khadija Ahmad, 30, of Rimi LGA, was arrested in an apartment she said was lent to her by a woman travelling to Egypt. She admitted renting rooms for prostitution and claimed similar activities were occurring in the neighbourhood. Ali Abubakar, 35, a fish seller from the Kano Cooperative area, and Fatima Abubakar, 28, from Niger State, were found together in another room. Both pleaded that it was their first offence and asked for leniency. All three were brought before Judge Malam Sani Tanimu Hausawa at the Hisbah Board premises. The board reiterated its commitment to tackling immoral activities across the state.
