Discovering Your True Identity in God

Scripture (John 8:14): “Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going.” A young student, Favour Adolphus, faced false accusations after biscuits went missing from his friend’s locker. He was only cleared when a classmate, Germaine, came forward to testify. This shows how rare it is for personal testimony to be trusted. As Christians, our identity must rest on God’s testimony, not on rumors or self-doubt. Jesus Himself valued the Father’s words above human opinion. We too should embrace what God says about us and stand firm in His truth. Key Point: God’s declaration about you matters more than anyone else’s words. Prayer: Lord, thank You for defining who I am. Root my identity in Your truth. Amen.
