Coco Gauff Beats Jessica Pegula to Win Second Cincinnati Open Title
Coco Gauff defeated fellow American Jessica Pegula 6-2, 6-4 to win the 2026 Cincinnati Open singles title in 75 minutes. The fourth seed took control early, racing to a 4-0 lead in the first set before closing it out 6-2. Gauff also began the second set strongly, going 3-0 up before holding off Pegula’s attempted comeback. She sealed the championship on her first match point to claim her first title of the season. Her run included victories over Liudmila Samsonova, Ann Li, Marie Bouzková, Marta Kostyuk and Sara Bejlek. The win gives Gauff her second Cincinnati Open trophy after her 2023 triumph and provides momentum ahead of the US Open.
