Lagos Confirmed to Host 2026 CAF Awards as Osimhen Eyes Player of the Year Prize
The Confederation of African Football has confirmed Lagos as the host city for the 2026 CAF Awards and the 48th CAF Ordinary General Assembly. The awards ceremony will hold at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts. It will recognise Africa's top players, coaches, goalkeepers, young talents, clubs and national teams. Victor Osimhen could be among the leading contenders for the African Player of the Year prize after another strong season with Galatasaray. Nigerian fans will hope to see the Super Eagles striker claim the award on home soil. CAF is expected to announce the ceremony date and nominees in the coming months.
