Ogunbote Explains Plateau United’s Comeback Win Over Shooting Stars
Plateau United came from behind to beat Shooting Stars 3-1 in their NPFL clash on Sunday. Abubakar Taheer gave the visitors an early lead in the 15th minute. Jibril Ibrahimi equalised five minutes after the break before Seiyefa Jackson put Plateau United ahead in the 71st minute. Shooting Stars were reduced to 10 men in the 84th minute after Gbolagade Adelowo received a straight red card, and Gideon Monday added a late third goal. Coach Gbenga Ogunbote said his side lacked tactical discipline in the first half but improved after the interval. He added that the team is still building understanding following the arrival of several new players.
