Aligning Your Desires With God’s Will
Your desires can either support God’s purpose or compete with it. Psalm 37:4 reminds us that delighting in the Lord reshapes our hearts and aligns our desires with His will. Elisha asked for the spiritual capacity to continue the work before him. Solomon asked for wisdom to lead God’s people. Neither request was centred on status or personal gain. Their desires reflected the responsibilities God had placed before them. Take time to examine what you are praying for and why. Ask God to remove selfish ambition, purify your motives, and give you desires that honour Him and advance His purpose. Prayer: Father, align my heart with Your will. Give me the wisdom and grace to pursue what pleases You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
