Police Deploy Security Across Osogbo Ahead of Festival Grand Finale

The Osun State Police Command has assured residents, tourists and traditional worshippers of adequate security throughout the Osun-Osogbo Festival. The command said officers will be deployed to major venues, access routes, worship sites, markets, motor parks and other identified flashpoints in Osogbo. It added that traffic control, crowd management and emergency response measures have been put in place. Residents and visitors have been urged to obey security and traffic officials, stay alert, keep children supervised in crowded areas and report suspicious activities promptly. The festival will climax on August 7 with the Arugba’s calabash-carrying procession to the Osun River.
