Paul Scholes Handed Six-Month Driving Ban After Two Motoring Convictions
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has received a six-month driving ban after two motoring convictions within two days. A Bradford court banned the 51-year-old over a speeding offence involving his Range Rover on the A649 near Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire, on 3 March. He was also fined. The following day, a Manchester court gave Scholes six penalty points and further fines after he failed to respond to police notices linked to a separate speeding case involving his Mercedes on Mossley Road near Ashton-under-Lyne. The speeding charge in that case was dropped. His fines, costs and court fees totalled £1,472. Court records show he was convicted in his absence, while existing penalty points meant he was liable for an automatic ban.
