NDLEA Arrests Three Persons with Disabilities in Drug Raids Across Anambra and Kwara
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested three persons living with disabilities in separate operations in Anambra and Kwara states. In Anambra, operatives acting on credible intelligence arrested a 60-year-old man in Onitsha’s Akpaka Forest and seized 250 grams of skunk. The next day in Ogbunike, officers nabbed a 25-year-old suspect with tramadol, diazepam, Exol 5 pills, and over 176 grams of skunk. Meanwhile in Kwara State, NDLEA patrols intercepted a commercial vehicle at Bode Saadu. They found 6.3 kilograms of skunk concealed in a school bag belonging to another passenger living with disability. The agency says these arrests form part of its nationwide interdiction efforts and War Against Drug Abuse sensitisation campaigns. The NDLEA chairman commended the Special Operations Unit and urged officers to sustain the momentum.
