Kano Censorship Board Shuts Herbal Shop Over Allegedly Indecent Social Media Ads
The Kano State Censorship Board has shut Kausar Unique Empire Ltd., also known as Back-to-Back, over advertisements it says contained indecent language and explicit illustrations. The board said it acted after intelligence reports and complaints from residents about promotional materials circulated on social media. Authorities said the content breached Kano State’s advertising rules, cultural values and moral standards. The board warned herbal medicine vendors and other business owners against using online platforms to share offensive or objectionable promotions. It said monitoring and enforcement against unethical advertising would continue.
