Kwankwaso Laments Nafiu Bala’s No-Show at Dawn Meeting
Former ADC chieftain Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso expressed disappointment after waiting until dawn for Nafiu Bala, who failed to turn up for their planned meeting. In an interview with DCL Hausa, Kwankwaso said, “Yesterday, right up until dawn, I was waiting for Nafiu Bala, but he didn’t come. People later told me he would not come. I wasn’t happy about it.” He described the absence as a missed chance for fatherly counsel. He used a local metaphor to caution Bala, warning him not to “turn into the lizard at the mouth of the pot.” Noting that Bala was born in 1990, Kwankwaso emphasized that the young politician still has much to learn. The former governor appealed to the Emir of Gombe and others close to Bala to guide him. He urged them to advise Bala to steer clear of actions that could harm the ADC.
