I’ve noticed that many Yoruba people approach religion with flexibility and pragmatism. One day they’ll attend church, the next they’re at the mosque, and they still honor traditional rites when life demands it. Outsiders may see this as confusing or disloyal. To us, it’s simply culture, family, faith, and survival woven together. In some regions, religion defines a rigid identity. Among Yorubas, you’ll find Christians and Muslims who also maintain a strong link to ancestral beliefs. For us, these paths don’t conflict—they complement one another.
