Wealth, Honest Living and the Purpose of Giving

Wealth is not wrong in itself. Scripture shows that people such as Abraham, David and Barnabas had resources, but what mattered was how they used them. We should earn money honestly and avoid exploiting others. God sees how business is done, including whether workers are treated fairly and paid what they are due. We should also give with the understanding that everything ultimately belongs to God. We are stewards of what we have, and generosity is presented as a principle of faith: what we sow, we can expect to reap.
