NBA Demands Immediate Release of Abducted NYSC Lawyer Eunice Ameh

NBA Demands Immediate Release of Abducted NYSC Lawyer Eunice Ameh

The Nigerian Bar Association has called for swift action to secure the release of Eunice Ameh, a lawyer and NYSC member reportedly kidnapped in Abuja’s Maitama district. NBA President Afam Osigwe appealed to security agencies to intensify efforts, stressing that the disappearance of a young lawyer is deeply personal for the legal community. He reminded authorities that behind every missing person is a distraught family and anxious friends. Reports indicate kidnappers are demanding a ₦20 million ransom. The NBA has urged the Inspector General of Police to coordinate an immediate and determined response to bring her back safely.

For immediate support, the NBA could coordinate a dedicated legal hotline and share safe travel tips with NYSC members in high-risk areas.
