Arraignment of Native Doctor Mmuo Mmili Afulu Anya Postponed Over Health Issues
The arraignment of Ikechukwu Ezenagu, known as Mmuo Mmili Afulu Anya, has been adjourned to June 3, 2026. Justice Jude Obiora ruled him unfit to take his plea due to his poor health. During the April 24 hearing, the prosecution led by Attorney General Tobechukwu Nweke and defence counsel Kingsley Awuka disputed whether Ezenagu was medically fit. Nweke said the state is ready to proceed, while Awuka hopes his client will recover in time for the next date. Ezenagu was arrested on March 12 in Nnewi and is being prosecuted under the Anambra State Homeland Security Law.
