NAFDAC Seals Trade Fair Shops Over Suspected Unregistered Cosmetics

NAFDAC has sealed several shops at the Trade Fair Complex in Ojo, Lagos, over suspected sales of unregistered cosmetic products. The agency said its Cosmetics Division carried out a two-day enforcement operation on August 26 and 27. Affected premises were placed under NAFDAC HOLD labels while samples of the products were taken for investigation. NAFDAC said business owners and operators have been invited for questioning and regulatory proceedings. The action is part of efforts to ensure cosmetics sold in Nigeria meet required registration and safety standards.
