Security agents have detained a 15-year-old herder for allegedly allowing his cattle to rampage through a farm in Rakwok village, Barkin Ladi LGA, Plateau State. The incident was reported at about 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, when the animals trampled crops belonging to Benjamin Pam. Officers from Sub-Sector 41, Gashish, responded quickly to a distress call but found the herders had fled. A pursuit led to the arrest of Muhammadu Bashir, aged 15, while his companions escaped with the cattle. The suspect remains in custody as authorities begin legal and administrative proceedings. Investigators say they are working to identify and apprehend the other herders involved.
